Band Introduction Letter

While we have performed under various names and with various members in and around Orange County since the early 1980's, the band first appeared as The Deborah Rose Band at the original Golden Bear in Huntington Beach. Since then, we have appeared as an opening act for a wide variety of artists at many venues over the years.

Our members, either individually or collectively, have shared the stage with artists such as Randy Travis, Terri Nunn & Berlin, The Smithereens, Canned Heat, Tower of Power, Dwight Yoakum, Leon Russell, Edgar Winter, Guess Who, Marshall Tucker Band, Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers, The Seeds, The Waitresses, Sylvia, Dwight Twilley, The Kingston Trio, Waylon Jennings, Ralph May & The Ohio River Band, Honk, Billy Verra & the Beaters, Wishbone Ash, Johnny Winter, Ronny Cox with Lisa Haley, Jannel Rap & The C Street Band, TSOL, and the James Harmon Band, to name a few.

The weekend of July 18-20, 2003 we proudly lent a hand to the community that supported us over the years, and those in need of help. The Healing Art Foundation, a charity effort which seeks to aid breast cancer victims, asked us to participate in their 'Art For A Cause', event at the 1st Annual Body Art Expo, at the Pomona Fairplex.  And, in May of 2005 Deborah, Tom and Bill performed at the Art & Music Festival for National Missing Children's Month, an event seeking increased national attention on finding missing persons.  The event featured actor-singer Ronny Cox, along with singer-fiddle player Lisa Haley, guest-speaker Erin Runnion, Jannel Rap & The C Street Band, Chris Paul Overall, and more.

As always, no matter where we are, we look forward to performing for, and having fun with, all of you....

Deborah Rose Novak (lead vocals, guitar, harmonica), Bil Ruiz (lead guitar, vocals),
John Sleeger (bass guitar, vocals), Tom Bellone (Hammond organ, melodica, guitar, vocals) & Bill McFadden (drums, vocals)
